The Carabao Cup, officially the Football League Cup and commonly known as the EFL Cup, is an annual English football knockout competition open to the 92 clubs of the top four tiers of the English football league system. First held in 1960–61 and sponsored by Thai energy drink maker Carabao since 2017, the tournament features single-elimination rounds culminating in a final at Wembley Stadium. It is one of England’s primary domestic cup competitions alongside the FA Cup.
